IIRC, Mekanism (1.12) has a limit of 18x18x18 for all multiblocks it'll still assemble. BTW, as a side note, the current winner on efficiency for me is the Immersive Tech steam turbine. It produces something absurd in power, over 10kRf/t from just 100mb/t MAX. The downside is that you need massive amounts of steel to scale this.
